Descripción del proyecto: 
We propose to investigate the therapeutic potential of novel bioactive natural marine compounds, as novel Disease Modifying Drugs (DMDs) in the treatment of OA, with potential direct translational application. The protective effect of marine bioactive compounds will be explored in terms of disease modifying responses using a human in vitro OA model mimicking OA conditions, as a first approach to high throughput screening, followed by pre-clinical testing in vivo in OA mouse model for validation.
