On November 26 and 27, 2024, the cross-border event “Bibliotecas en Comunidad / As Bibliotecas na Comunidade” will take place in Salamanca, as part of the project 0017_CENCYL_GOBERNANZA_3_E, approved in the second call of the Interreg Spain-Portugal (POCTEP) 2021-2027 program.
The event is organized by the Castilla y León-Centro de Portugal Working Community, under the scientific coordination of the University of Salamanca, and is designed as a meeting to discuss the role of libraries today within the CENCYL Library Network. The event will be held in a hybrid format (in-person and online), according to the attached program.
Its purpose is to highlight the role of the library as a community center and its ability to adapt to local needs, as well as to create synergies between library services and professionals from Spain and Portugal.
LOCATION: The Faculty of Translation and Documentation of the University of Salamanca (c/ Francisco de Vitoria 6-16 – entrance through Plaza de Anaya – 37002 Salamanca) will host this event.
